In The Power of Shazam! #28 we see Mary wearing a white uniform. Up until this issue, Mary had been wearing a red uniform, very similar to the classic Mary Marvel one of the golden age. In the beginning pages of the comic, Mary's asked why she switched, but she doesn't have time to answer as she is dealing with an emergency on the highway.
At the end of the comic, we finally get the answer as to why Mary switched her uniform. She's talking to a Professor Bibbowski who opines, "I like the costume, by the by. Set you apart from the other Marvel." Mary responds, "That's the general idea..."
Mary changed her red uniform to white to set her apart from her brother, Billy, the other Captain Marvel! I think the white costume looks great, and not all Captain Marvels need to wear red. Think about it, even Captain Marvel Junior's uniform is blue!
